Commercial Cleaning Methods:
Gleam Team use either high powered petrol pressure washers for surfaces such as block paving and slabs, or the revolutionary new technique pioneered in the US known as soft washing. This is ideal for more delicate exterior surfaces like rendered or brick walls and roofs. It is the low pressure application of a powerful outdoor cleaning product called Blackwash which is sprayed onto a surface,left for 30-60 minutes,agitated with a waterfed pole brush before thorough rinsing.
It is highly effective and the ONLY sodium hypochlorite based product approved by the UK Health and Safety Executive. When used correctly it is suitable for all building materials and harmless to the environment and plant life.
It kills biological growths and removes black and green algae,mould,mildew,lichens,dirt and other staining.
Block Paving:
We have a great deal of experience in all aspects of block paving maintenance. This includes pressure cleaning,adding block paving sand (kiln dried sand) to empty joints,applying paving sealant and block paving weed killer for longer term protection against regrowth.
We can also replace damaged blocks and repair block paving where depressions have formed from sinkage. If that is the case we will take up all bricks in the affected area and replace the sand base to ensure it is firm and level and then put them back correctly so that the whole surface area is level and even
