Our roof cleaning methods
Manual moss removal – we use ladders or scaffold towers to access roofs. Exceptionally it can be necessary to use a scissor lift or cherry picker.
We then use specialist extension poles with a roof scraping tool attached to manually scrape moss away from the roof. We lay tarpaulin around the house to catch any falling moss, cover downpipes to prevent blockages and clear all gutters on completion.

After clearing all the moss we then using specialised roof cleaning chemicals. They are applied at a very low pressure and clean away all the dirt, black algae and lichen spots. This method is known as soft washing. and avoids the risk of damaging of roof tiles using high pressure water. For this reason we do not jet wash roofs and because tile manufacturers specifically warn against it.
